For your convenience we have a fully secure multi-story car park conveniently located directly opposite the main building. Car park tickets can be purchased from our Café Bar & Box Office, at a reduced price of only €4 for the duration of your entire stay.
From City Centre
Follow the airport road which takes you through Drumcondra along the N1, towards the M1. Continue past the junction for Griffith Avenue until you reach the junction at Whitehall. There is a big Church at the right. At this crossroads turn left onto Collins Avenue. Continue along Collins Avenue until you pass St. Aidans School on your left hand side. Just after the school, there is a set of traffic lights, turn left into the entrance to DCU.
From M50 Northbound
Proceed southbound along the M50 and take the Ballymun exit (Junction 4). At the traffic lights on the roundabout, turn left and take the road to Ballymun. Drive through Ballymun and turn left at the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road crossroads (approx 500 meters). DCU is located on Collins Avenue 500m on the right hand side.
From M50 Southbound
Drive through the Westlink toll bridge and continue along the M50 until the Ballymun exit (Junction 4). At the traffic lights on the roundabout, take the third exit and drive through Ballymun. Follow the directions for DCU as outlined above.
By Public Transport
The following buses stop outside the University at the Ballymun Road and Collins Avenue entrances, or near to the university with stops on the Swords Road and Glasnevin Avenue.
1, 4, 9, 11, 13, 16 and 44 – to and from city centre
33 to and from Balbriggan via Swords Road
41, 41B and 41C to and from Swords via Swords Road
44 to and from Enniskerry via Collins Avenue
104 from Clontarf Road to Santry (Shanard Road)
Bus routes 44 & 104 stop directly outside The Helix, within DCU campus grounds for your convenience.
The following buses stop on O’Connell Street: 1, 4, 9, 11, 13, 16, and 44.
